Halloween 1999
M-6 Bonefish Circle
Silverdale Washington

Here are the few pictures I took of this haunt. I wish I had more, but I haven't built a time reversal crank machine yet so this is all you get. This was a really great haunt and the pictures don't do it justice. With the lights off, the chandelier, the creepy music and poem set a surreal mood. My FCG died after an hour, pity since I had tested it for several hours in the previous days.

These are the main pictures I had. On the left one you can see the haunted bookshelf, witch, globe, table, bleeding portrait, and the phone book of the dead, with blinking eyes. The right photo shows Houdini's wife, more of the table, scrabble board of death, and in the back corner my FCG is hidden behind the sheet of plastic.

Here's my brother, Marc as "Elgar" who we named because my brother could never remember the name Igor (there's such a big difference), Elgar was the servant who led groups TOT's into my haunt, his outfit was made by my mom out of burlap. He's already a big help and a boon to my projects.
And here is my gypsy witch or whatever it is. It's just a blow-up skeleton I bought for $5 with some pumpkin eyeball lights taped onto the head and a cool witch mask we bought at Wal-Mart for $5, wrapped it in a skirt, added some jewelry, and strung up to the roof with fishing string to keep her upright.

In front of the witch is the crystal ball I whipped up. It's just a glass globe with some iridescent mylar shred (gift wrap stuff) with a string of battery powered Xmas lights in it, a rather good looking effect for it's simplicity.

Houdini's Dead: The Poem
By Cory Derenburger

Come in dearies, what a treat
Prepare yourselves for a Halloween feat!

Stay together, behind the line,
'cause if you cross it you will be mine...

In this house there once lived
the GREATEST magician, but now he's dead.. (chandelier flicker)

He died too young, and too quick,
trying to get out of a magic trick.

His funeral was small and not remembered,
because his body was dismembered. (bookshelf)

His wife wasn't slow when it came to
a spell to hide his soul down in the well.

She sat right here, with the urn,
waiting for her husband to return. (bleed portrait)

Little she realized while the candles burned
she was slowly reaching the end of her turn..

She waited and waited, till she was old,
but still he never returned to their home. (woman transform)

Then she passed on, then both were gone,
their house was inherited by their sons

This house has been haunted, by both of them here
don't come too close, for they may be near!

This table is positioned above the well,
to raise his soul, with a spell. (table face)

She will be here this Halloween,
'cause this is the day that she's always seen. (ghost shown)

This poem has been made into a spell,
to bring them together so all will be well..

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" (witch cackling)
